Half a year ago it was nonstop hype about AI agents, magic buttons and businesses a thousand times more profitable. Now the disappointment has kicked in
The hype wave has crashed. After OpenAI's first launches people played around with AI tools and hit a wall - some for lack of time, some for lack of patience, some just couldn't figure out automation
But the main reason isn't the people. Instagram and TikTok bloggers fucked over a huge number of people, saying there's a magic button - press it and 100 agents spin up and make your business a thousand times more profitable. Pretty story. Total bullshit 🤡
People believed it, tried it, nothing worked and they lost interest. Fair enough
But here's what they didn't account for - the economy and big corporations haven't lost interest. They're not waiting for the public to come around again, they keep pushing forward nonstop. And at some point the wave will rise again
Only the ones riding the crest won't be the ones who waited. It'll be the ones who all this time meticulously, a little bit every day, automated their life and business. No hype, no magic buttons, no comparing themselves to other people's stories. The ones who learned to combine their own thinking with AI and figured out how it's done in practice. Not just chatting with ChatGPT, but doing something beyond it 🔧
These people will win - both financially and intellectually. Because they didn't toss the toy under the couch like kids who got bored of it
The ones who quit will come back. But they'll have to start from scratch, and in a different competitive landscape
Don't fall for the hype
Don't fall for trends that pop up and die every three months
Don't fall for TikTok and Instagram bloggers who promise things that have never been done and never will be
Build your own dialogue with AI. Every day. Little by little. And in six months the gap between you and the ones who stopped will be obvious 📈
Are you still in?
