This isn't my first book, and every time I run into the same thing: it's a very labor-intensive process that takes a lot of time
And let me say it right away: I'm against books written by AI ⛔️
I'm for using AI as an assistant, a proofreader, an editor
So I ended up building this automation:
1. Every morning at 7:00 I get a notification that I need to write the next chapter, plus its topic
2. I record a voice message 10-30 minutes long
3. AI transcribes the voice into text, adds punctuation and splits the text into paragraphs
4. Then it sends me a breakdown of the chapter: what turned out well, what could be stronger, and recommendations for the next chapter
5. Everything gets saved to a separate document on the server
Next, the plan is to work through every chapter of this draft: proofreading, strengthening, structuring
And finally, record the audio version and publish 🎙
What do you think - am I a true writer or am I cheating? 🤔
